CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
Set clear mutual expectations
Agree on what the customer will receive, the price, expected timing, responsibilities, and support available afterward. Explain what is included, what may cost extra, and any customer inputs or outside dependencies that could affect delivery.
Distinguish firm commitments from estimates, and check that both sides understand the important terms. Make promises the business can realistically keep, and record the agreement in clear language.
If something changes, explain the likely effect early, discuss the options, and confirm revised arrangements when needed. This gives customers a realistic basis for planning and helps your team understand exactly what it has committed to provide.
