RISK & RESILIENCE

Prepare response and recovery

Prepare a simple, usable plan for what happens when a disruption occurs. Put people’s safety first, identify who will lead the response, and name a substitute if that person is unavailable.

Decide which activities must continue, how long interruptions can be tolerated, and which services or systems need to be restored first. Record practical temporary arrangements, important contacts, and how employees, customers, and partners will receive updates.

Keep the plan accessible if normal systems fail. When responding, adjust priorities to the actual situation and confirm that essential work can resume safely and reliably before treating recovery as complete.
