STRATEGY & DECISIONS
Review results and adapt
Regularly compare results with your goals and with what you expected when making important decisions. Check whether planned actions were completed, whether they produced the intended effects, and whether the assumptions behind the strategy still hold.
Investigate why results differed: the issue may be execution, an incorrect expectation, changed conditions, or chance. A good outcome also deserves examination so you understand what is repeatable.
Use what you learn to improve the work, change priorities, or revise the strategy when the evidence warrants it. Look for meaningful patterns over time, and avoid letting every short-term fluctuation trigger a change of direction.
